Does FIFA 15 have the goods to woo folks back onto the pitch yet again? That depends wholly on the player. Diehards who play every year will find their FIFA much as they left it in 2013, polished to a fine sheen but lacking dramatic changes. The inevitable truth of all annual games: Some years, not much changes. For the lapsed FIFA player, like a new Xbox One or PS4 owner who skipped the past few seasons, FIFA 15 is a deep well of quality that continues to improve accessibility to its sweet sport. The team behind the game was given exclusive access to Premier League clubs, which allowed them to take detailed photographs and accurately recreate them for consoles. The cheers, chants and sounds of more than 20 Premier League matches were also recorded, which means FIFA 15 is expected to have realistic audio for reaction to goals, misses, whistles, and will have crowd-specific songs.
EA has claimed there are several reasons for the move. Update: It is still possible to offer cards up for auction, so long as they’re within EA’s pre-defined price range. “To help FUT gamers understand the value of the players in their club,” is the first listed in yesterday’s announcement. It goes on: “To make high-rated players more attainable for all FUT gamers and ensure a level playing field”. However, many within the millions-strong Fifa community believe EA’s prime motivation for the change is in its third explanation: “to further restrict illegitimate coin transfers on the transfer market”. Many players sell in-game currency via auction sites like eBay, breaking EA’s rules. However, the move effectively eliminates the tense, but legitimate, “player-flipping” gameplay many enjoyed. Now, the only means of improving a team is either to plough hours into playing matches, or invest real money in Fifa Points, which can then be turned into currency within the game.
On the same day FIFA 15 received a new 1.05 update for PS4, it seems the EA Servers have gone down and caused thousands to complain that FIFA 15 Ultimate Team is not working. Not only is Twitter receiving hundreds of tweets with players reporting problems, but also the EA FIFA 15 status page on Down Today has many updates reporting issues. One user said, “I keep getting the message there was a problem communicating with the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team servers transfer market”. This particular user was on PC, although another Product Reviews reader reported that FIFA 15 won’t work on PS4. It looks like all platforms are impacted by the issues and Ultimate Team isn’t working on all of them, according to the latest reports.
Now there is a price range that caps the maximum amount that a transfer market item can be sold for, coin sellers may need to find a workaround. Also, now items will, theoretically at least, be more attainable, players may feel there is less need to go to coin sellers in the first place. The addition of price ranges is the latest in a string of initiatives designed to stem the tide of cheating within FIFA Ultimate Team, which is FIFA's most popular mode. The new price ranges wiped millions off the value of FUT players. Last year EA unveiled a new ban process it hoped would encourage players to report those suspected of
cheap fifa 15 coin selling.
EA said price ranges will also help FUT players better understand the value of the players in their club, and make high-rated players more attainable for all FUT gamers, ensuring a level playing field. But the move hasn't gone down well with some FUT players, who have seen the value of their items, many of which were purchased after considerable investment, decimated. By introducing a Minimum Price that a player can be sold for, EA has prevented friendly FIFA players from buying their friend’s Swiss third choice goalkeeper for 100,000 coins to give them a head start in building their squad, forcing them to either work hard and earn coins or invest real money in FIFA points to give themselves a bump. It’s sort of like doing it the Everton way vs when Sheik Mansour took over Man City: some people can afford to waste money on virtual football stickers, some can’t. This feature is designed to level the playing field.
now for the rotten part. I've played this game 2 days after it came out and she'll money for the packs. The packs have gotten stingy, and paltry. I have gotten the same cards at least 34 including Amsterdam arena a whooping 8 times. Whether you bought a 7500 gold pack or the 19.99 100000. In the big packs you only will find 3 to 4 cards that aren't duplicates. One weekend of of 3 100000 gold packs I had a whooping 7 SEVEN non repetitive cards out of 72 cards! You certainly didn't see that on 14, and that's the biggest scam to players. The cards have dropped in value the stats have dropped and the players attributes don't really matter plenty of times I've seen a slow pacing player keep up with a high pace one.
To summarise: for every Ultimate Team game you play, you earn roughly 450 coins. Each game takes around 20 minutes to complete. Assuming Ronaldo costs 6million coins to purchase this means you need to play 13,333 games to save up the coins, which is 266,666 minutes. Or 185 days, to round it up. The other option is to buy FIFA Points and hope you get him randomly in a pack.
