FIFA 17 is not all about fancy stepovers and eye-catching rabonas

FIFA 17 isn't all about fancy stepovers and eye-catching rabonas. Just like the real game, much simpler body movements can be the difference in buying you time and space to move the ball. No touch dribbling is a great way to achieve this through using body feints to deceive defenders. To activate no touch dribbling, you just need to hold LB/L1 (depending on what console) in conjunction with the left analog stick to feint in a selected direction. This is to do a small body feint. Players on defense will actively go after the ball.

They’ll jump right into the passing lanes, making it tougher than ever to keep possession, especially in the midfield. Initially, that was fantastic to see. The problem quickly became apparent when players whose team has possession will just stand around and watch, and allow the defenders to get to the ball without making an effort of their own.

Passing also seems to randomly go haywire, with an unusual amount of power (for how long the button was held) being placed on balls that are sent beyond their intended targets, who let them go right by. If you want to do a large body feint, you can also hold RT/R2 (so LB + RT + left analog stick) and this will activate a much more exaggerated feint. Now, if you release LB you'll start sprinting in the direction you're holding the left analog stick.

Time this right and you'll not only open up space by deceiving the defender but you'll then leave them eating dust as you sprint away. There’s a tournament mode to be played between them, and they can be played against each other offline and online, but that’s it. None of the players will appear in Ultimate Team, there’s no option to play through a career as a female, and the 12 teams represent only half of the Women’s World Cup field. What that means is you now have a green Jack Grealish card that was only in packs for around six hours.

As a silver rated card -- essentially relegated to second-class citizen status in this year's game and in packs far less commonly opened than those containing higher rated players -- there were already going to be fewer of them out in the wild. With just five hours and change for an already scarce card to be acquired by the hundreds of thousands who play the game daily, the card is going to be practically extinct.

If you're an ardent FUT collector, prepare for dozens of grueling hours of trying to "snipe" the card off the market whenever someone ultimately lists one. Since the card's only 72 rated overall, is going to cost the price range max of 30,000 coins and isn't boosted in any way from Grealish's normal card, you really aren't missing out too much if you aren't lucky enough to get your hands on one. If you do though, prepare to lord it over all your FUT playing friends and enemies alike.
